As we turn the page into fall, I want to thank each of you for the way you’ve shown up this year — at convention, at the Quarterlies, and in the NCBA membership drive that just wrapped up. Florida Cattlemen have once again proven that when there’s work to be done, we get it done.

Membership strength is more than numbers on a page. It determines Florida’s voice at the national table and secures important rebates that keep our state association strong. Because of your support, Florida enters NCBA’s new fiscal year as an affiliate with momentum — and that matters when decisions are being made in Washington, D.C. that affect your ranch.

Looking ahead, we are preparing for another busy session in Tallahassee. FCA is focused on, protecting private property rights, shaping sound water policy, securing research and promotion funds, and ensuring that public programs work for ranchers. These aren’t abstract issues — they touch every operation in this state. You can be confident your association will be at the table, representing Florida Cattlemen with a clear, steady voice.

At the same time, we continue investing in the future. Through our Foundation, the Florida Cattlemen’s Leadership Academy, and the Junior Florida Cattlemen’s Association, we are preparing the next generation to carry this industry forward. That commitment to leadership development is as important as any policy win.

I’ll close with this: I am humbled to serve as your EVP, and I don’t take this responsibility lightly. But the strength of FCA has never rested on one person. It rests on thousands of cattlemen and women who put their boots on each morning and raise cattle with pride.

Thank you for your membership, your trust, and your leadership. I look forward to seeing you at the December Quarterly in Ocala and to tackling the challenges ahead together.
