Advocacy doesn’t only happen in Tallahassee, it happens every time a story is told.
As an association, we work to protect the ability of Florida’s cattlemen to produce and market their products. That work often shows up through legislative efforts and educational programs, but it also happens in a quieter way through how our industry is represented and understood.
Each month, this magazine helps tell that story, reflecting the people, partnerships, and progress that define Florida’s cattle industry. In the months ahead, you will begin to see a few more updates as we continue working to ensure this publication serves you well.
We are placing a greater emphasis on member-focused content, highlighting the operations, families, and individuals who make up our industry. You will also notice a refreshed layout for our smaller, “business card” sized ads, designed to better showcase our advertisers while keeping the overall look clean and easy to navigate.
In addition, a readership survey through the Livestock Advertising Network will be distributed in the coming months and conducted by the UF/IFAS Center for Public Issues Education on behalf of LAN. We encourage you to take a few minutes to participate. Your feedback plays an important role in helping us ensure the magazine continues to reflect the needs and interests of our membership.
On a personal note, you may notice a name change in this issue. I got married in March and am grateful for all of the kind words and well wishes from this community!
While some things may evolve, one thing remains the same. This publication is a reflection of you. Your voice, your experiences, and your story are what continue to move this industry forward.
