Hello Everyone!
I hope you are all having a great summer. My name is Dale Carlton, and the first order of business I would like to cover is to say thank you for the privilege and opportunity to serve and represent our great association. It is a responsibility that I take very seriously.
I would also like to thank everyone who showed up and engaged in one way or another at our annual convention last month. What a great event it was.
Let’s talk about the slogan for this year, “Loyal to the Land”. I am a firm believer that the land we raise our cattle on is on loan to us from our good Lord up above, and it comes with a great responsibility. I am also a firm believer in the saying, “If you take care of the land, it will take care of you”, and by doing that you have to remain loyal through all of the phases we go through as an industry.
Another part of being “Loyal to the Land” is being engaged in what is going on outside of our fences. In the world we live in today, with the population of our state rapidly increasing, it is more important than ever to continue to stay engaged and educated on a government level. Our current agricultural leadership in Tallahassee is very strong, but they still need our help. I believe there is strength in numbers, so let’s continue to show up and fight the good fight with them.
In closing, I am looking forward to a fun and productive year. If there is anything I can help you with along the way, don’t hesitate to call. If I can’t help you or don’t know the answer, I am confident we can get pointed in the right direction with our association’s very valuable staff.
Sincerely Honored,
Dale Carlton
