Hello everyone!
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great Christmas surrounded by friends and family. I’m looking forward to 2025 and the second half of my term as FCA President. The past 6 months have flown by, but the memories will last a lifetime.
I would like to thank everyone who came to my hometown for our year-end quarterly meeting in December. The meeting was well attended and productive. I would like to thank the Hardee County Cattlemen and Cattlewomen for their work in feeding everyone during our business meetings and at the steak out, the food and service were great. I am thankful for my wife’s vision and execution of the steak out we hosted at our home; it was better than I could have dreamed up, thank you Beth. None of this would have been possible without the members who attended and our sponsors Florida Commission Co. and AgAmerica Lending.
The Florida CattleWomen always show a strong spirit of Christmas and giving. I admire their commitment to the Hope Children’s Home and Wreaths Across America every year.
Going to county meetings is always a pleasure, I recently joined Indian River, Sarasota, and Okeechobee Counties for their Christmas events. I am encouraged by the energy at these county events and see how it positively impacts our state events. Thank you, county affiliate leaders, for inviting me to your events and keeping your county associations strong.
I look forward to seeing a large crowd at the Florida Cattlemen’s FUN N’ GUN Banquet on February 1st (see page 36). I thank President Elect Rick Moyer for spearheading this event, I’m looking forward to this fun atmosphere raising funds for the Florida Cow PAC and the Florida Cattlemen’s Foundation. You don’t want to miss it.
Let’s start the new year off with the same momentum we’ve had in growing our membership and staying Loyal to the Land!
