Screwworm Resources

The Florida Cattlemen’s Association (FCA) continues to work closely with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA) and other national animal health agencies to monitor and respond to any potential threat of the New World Screwworm. This parasitic pest poses serious risks to both livestock and wildlife, making proactive communication, surveillance, and education essential to protecting Florida’s cattle industry.

FCA remains committed to keeping producers informed as these agencies share updates and guidance. Resources, updates, and reporting links from the USDA and NCBA will be shared here as they become available.
