Sweetheart’s August Message

Casey Wingate
Manatee County
2019-2020 FCA Sweetheart

Hello everyone, my name is Casey Wingate and I am so unbelievably blessed and honored to be your 2019-2020 Florida Cattlemen’s Association Sweetheart. I am so grateful for the opportunity to represent the state, association, and industry I love most. This had been a dream come true for me. Florida Cattlemen, I am ready to serve you! Let me #shareyourheritage!

I would like to take a moment to say thank you to my family, friends, the Manatee County Cattlemen, Cattlewomen, and Jr. Cattlemen, and so many more who have helped me through every step of the way. Thank you for all the love and support you have given me through this competition and helping me achieve my dream. Running for the title of FCA Sweetheart has allowed me to meet so many new people and create new friendships. Especially with the five other lovely sweethearts who competed with me. Anna Conrad, Nathalie Yoder, Shannon McAmis, Brianna Waters, and Hanna Cline, thank you for being so sweet, supporting, and encouraging throughout our entire journey, I am so proud of each of you. Also, a HUGE thank you to Mrs. Kim, Mr. Butch, and Kayden Strickland, Kaitlyn Gill-Donley, Lindsey Wiggins, and all of the sponsors who keep the FCA Sweetheart program thriving. One last thank you to Eric Jacobsen, Debora Whaley, and Ashby Green for judging the sweetheart competition this year!

For those of you who do not know me, I just want to tell you a little bit about myself! I am a 6th generation cattle rancher, born and raised in Myakka City. I am the 19-year-old daughter of Gene and Tamara, and I have two siblings, Courtney and Clay. My family and I have a cow/calf operation in Myakka City, Florida where we raise calves to be shown at county fairs and prospect shows around the state. I have been involved in the Junior Florida Cattlemen’s Association since I was very young, participating in the point series shows, quiz bow, team marketing, as well as being on the officer team for several years. Currently, I am a Junior at Warner University where I am pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Studies.

If you have any events that you would like me to attend, or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me at caseywingate@yahoo.com.

Thank you and God Bless,
Casey Wingate
