Sweetheart Message April 2019
Hey y’all! I hope everyone had a wonderful February. I know I stayed very busy this month. My activities started off with my local hog show, where I was able to help pass out ribbons to all the kids from my county that were showing pigs. On Tuesday, the 12th, I went to the Agricultural Hall of Fame Dinner. I was lucky enough to be able to join the Florida CattleWomen’s President, Mrs.Gill to a wonderful ceremony and dinner where important people in our agricultural community were recognized. On Wednesday night I was in Tampa helping out at the youth Steer show. The next day, it was back up to Tampa for an Award Luncheon, where the outstanding kids that worked hard with their animals and projects were honored. That night, I was back in Highlands County helping out at my local fair. Here I had to help the CattleWomen serve food and drinks for the people attending the Buyers’ Dinner. Immediately after I was off to take pictures with the kids who were selling their animals. All in all, I had an extremely busy week. However, I have never felt so grateful to live in a world surrounded by Agriculture, and the kind of people in it. It is such a nice feeling to watch everyone gather to support the youth in such a positive way; at a state and local level! I was always involved in 4-H growing up, but being the FCA Sweetheart has given me a new outlook; and for that I am thankful.
