Dec. ’13 Jr. Trail

This year has flown by! I cannot believe that it is almost Christmas, which means 6 more months until MARCO! JFCA members have certainly been busy this past month. Myself and State Treasurer Chad Revis had the opportunity to help out in the show ring at the ShowDown N O-Town Cattle Battle. There were 80 exhibitors and over 150 head at this show. Board of Directors Cheyanne White and Natallee Trimble had a great weekend. Cheyanne won intermediate showmanship and placed 2nd in her class, and Natallee won Grand Champion Brahman Female as well as 1st and 2nd in her other classes. Congratulations to all exhibitors, you all did fantastic! Keep up the hard work guys!

Just a quick reminder that all donations for Operation Shoebox will need to be brought to the End of the Year Quarterly meeting in Okeechobee on December 5th and 6th or mailed to Christine Damron at 4900 NW 27th AVE Ocala, FL 34475.

Last month’s challenge was “A lean 3 oz piece of beef has about ______ of the daily value of protien”. The answer is HALF. Besides just tasting great, lean beef helps to satisfy you and maintain a healthy weight. This month’s challenge is very simple. Email me at or Facebook me your FAVORITE cut of beef! Mine would have to be the Spinalis Dorsi also known as the Ribeye Cap.

If you have any questions about the JFCA feel free to contact me by email or my phone number is 352-615-3060.  Sending warm wishes to my fellow JFCA members and their families. Hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday! Merry Christmas!
