Beef Ambassador Report
It was great to be a part of the 2015 Florida Cattlemen’s Convention, located at the Omni in Central Florida. Having the opportunity to network with Florida Cattlemen, CattleWomen and Youth solidified just how strong our Florida Beef Industry is. The Florida Cattle Industry is one of the oldest and largest in the nation and is vital to our state’s well being. As Florida Beef Ambassador, it is my honor and privilege to work with the Florida CattleWomen to promote Beef and our Beef Industry every day. From school programs, ranch tours, grocery store and trade show demonstrations; we strive to create an understanding of today’s ranching and Beef production to consumers, not only in Florida, but on a national level as well. On a recent trip to the Southern Women’s Show in Nashville, Tennessee, I worked with the American National CattleWomen volunteers and National Beef Ambassadors, teaching consumers important skills needed to select, prepare and enjoy Beef. Interacting with a diverse group of beef consumers proved to be educational and rewarding. The three days spent teaching consumers about Beef through interactive skill stations and cooking demonstrations was an enjoyable experience.
As I continue to travel the state this summer speaking with groups, providing interactive activities such as BEEFO Bingo, and educating the public; I am also focusing on the upcoming National Beef Ambassador contest to be held in Denver, Colorado this fall.
My passion for the Beef Industry developed at a very young age, and has continued to grow and prosper as time goes forward. I look forward to continue advocating for Beef, and supporting my passion of the Beef Industry.
