August Jr. Trail

Hello everyone.

Spencer Brass, 2015-2016 JFCA President

Spencer Brass, 2015-2016 JFCA President

Convention was fantastic as always and the Omni was a great new venue. I would like to take the time to introduce myself as your new JFCA President. I am Spencer Brass and am from Zephyrhills, a small town about an hour north of Tampa. I reside with my parents and our dogs, horses, and cows. This coming year I hope to continue the strong traditions of the JFCA.

The JFCA point series shows are coming up right around the corner with the first one at the end of July. For those of you who have not taken the time to attend one of these shows, please come out and see what it is all about. It is a great time for family and friends to all get together and form friendships from all around the state while doing something that we all enjoy. A special thanks to the Wingate Family for always doing a great job putting the shows on around the state, we could not do it without you.

The Florida Cattlemen sure did a great job taking over the Omni Orlando at Champions Gate just a few weeks ago, I don’t think the Omni actually knew what they were getting themselves into when they agreed to have so many people from one “family” together. The Omni did a great job accommodating everything that the FCA, FCW, and JFCA needed throughout the week. My personal favorite was the lazy river, and the convenience  of having all of the convention events in the same area. I would like to thank Pearce Cattle Co., Adena Ranch, and Moreno Ranches for their continued support by donating heifers and credits for the JFCA auction. Your support does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. The juniors had a great time competing in bumper sticker, t-shirt, speech contests, team marketing, and the ever so competitive quiz bowl.
