Florida Ranch Rodeo & Cowboy Heritage Festival - Sep. 28-29, 2012

The dates have been set for the 2012 Statewide Ranch Rodeo Competition and Cowboy Heritage Festival. Please mark your calendar to join us again on Friday, September 28th and Saturday, September 29th for another two days of fast paced rodeo action mixed with the best of Florida cowboy heritage, art, and history. Full details on this year's event will posted on the web site soon, so please check back often. The 2012 schedule of qualifying regional rodeos has also been posted so you can find a local Ranch Rodeo in your area.

 

On Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1st, 2011, the Florida Cattlemen's Association held the 4th Annual Florida Ranch Rodeo Finals and Cowboy Heritage Festival at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee. This year's event featured record breaking crowds who enjoyed a large and well organized free Heritage Festival in addition to two nights of action packed rodeo adventure.

 

Sixteen teams of cowboys and cowgirls from working ranches throughout Florida earned the right to compete in the Statewide Ranch Rodeo Finals competition by winning one of the regional ranch rodeos held throughout the State.

 

The 2011 Overall Champion is the Orange County Cattlemen's Association Team which include team members Chuck Mack, Angela Mack, Charles "Corky" Paschal, Jeremy Hester and Kenny Raney.

The Heritage Festival also does an annual Whip Popping contest which brings in contestants from throughout the entire State of Florida. This year's winners include:

Ranch rodeo

 

Thousands of visitors and guests from throughout Florida attend this premier experience each year, which serves as a charity fundraiser for the Florida Cattlemen's Foundation.  The Foundation is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) organization established for the preservation of the history, heritage and ideals of Florida cattlemen.   The Foundation provides educational, research and leadership programs for our youth.  It also supports Environmental Stewardship, Land Management, Historic Artifact Preservation, and other charitable activities.
