Hey everyone! I hope the beginning of 2018 has been as good to y’all as it has been to me! Have you kept up with your New Year resolution? I have! Each day I try to write down positive thoughts and memories so I can reflect and cherish those moments more. As my time at the University of Florida is beginning to wrap up, I have started passing my free time by substitute teaching! This is something I am really excited about because many of the teachers I am filling in for agree for me to give a short lesson on the Florida cattle industry. Depending on what age group I am working with, I am able to share our story and encourage different ways for students to get involved in agriculture.
This past month I attended the Cattlewomen’s clay shoot at Quail Creek. We had an amazing time and I would like to personally thank everyone who came or contributed in any way! As you all know we also had our legislative quarterly meeting in Tallahassee in January. This was the first time I had every participated in Boots on the Hill and it was such a memorable experience! I cannot express how proud I am to a part of our industry. There is something great to say about everyone taking the time out of your busy lives to participate in something that benefits so many. I appreciate seeing everyone so eager to do their part in making sure our legacy is continued.
As always, I will be available this Spring as my last couple of months as sweetheart come to a close. I hope to hear from you guys about anything and everything! Please do not hesitate to contact me by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (863) 245-9711.
