We are always welcoming new members.
Our plan for this year is to grow our membership, with a contest. We have sponsors for cash prizes for the person that can recruit the most new members. The contest will go from January to June at convention where the prizes will be awarded.
$1000.00 1ST place, $500.00 2nd place, $250.00 3rd place. Also an additional prize for any FCA member, you will get your name in the hat for every new member recruited for a 400 gallon lick tank donated by Dura Cast in Lake Wales and Westway Feed will fill it with liquid feed at your location! So FCA members please join your wives, sisters and daughters. Each membership increases your chance for this prize, thanks to Dura Cast and Westway.
Please plan on attending our FCW Clay Shoot at Quail Creek in Okeechobee on January 6th. This is our main fundraiser for our youth scholarship program. It is a lot of fun, door prizes and lunch. You may register online or contract Sarah Childs firstname.lastname@example.org or Wendy Petteway email@example.com for sponsorship and registration.
The legislative Quarterly is early this year, January 16-18.
The FCW will not have meetings in Tallahassee, but will meet in Bartow on March 25th. I encourage everyone to attend the quarterly, visit your legislators and join us at the street party.
We are seeking members to man the State Fair booth, February 8-19. This is a great way to meet 50,000+ people a day and promote our way of life. Tami Newsome has done an outstanding job for several years organizing our booth, you may contact her to sign up, firstname.lastname@example.org.
I look forward to working and meeting you all this year. Please feel free to contact me at anytime.
Thank you, Rhonda
