Nov. JFCA Report
Hello everyone! I hope everyone is doing well! The team and I have been busy planning and working events. At our last quarterly we started planning our field day and community service projects and we could not be more excited! We will have more details out soon.
One of the events we worked was the Ranch Rodeo Finals in Kissimmee. This event took place on September 30th and October 1st. At the rodeo, I got the exciting opportunity to ride in it as a representative for the JFCA. I rode in the grand entry as well as carried sponsorship flags in-between the events with the FCA Sweetheart Samantha Dailey and 1st Runner Up, Moriah McCullers.
On Saturday, before the rodeo started, a Cowboy Heritage Festival took place where there were many interesting things to do. A whip popping contest, a brisket cook off, steak dinner, cow dog competition, ranch horse competition, as well cowboy heritage booths were among the many fun events on Saturday. During the day, the JFCA officer team sold hats, license plates, and ranch rodeo t-shirts and at night during the rodeo they worked in one of 3 concession booths. We would like to thank everyone for coming out, we hope you had fun! If you didn’t get a chance to come this year we invite you to come next year!
Also, don’t forget about the next point series show! If you haven’t been to one yet I would strongly suggest that you go even if you don’t have cattle. The University of Florida Judging Department will be hosting the next show in Belleview at the Florida Horse Park on November 4th and 5th.
I hope to see ya’ll soon and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org!
