JFCA Update

Hello everyone! The officer team and I had a great time at the March Quarterly located in Tallahassee.  We got to meet with representatives to talk about some of the major concerns in the beef industry and walk around the capital building.  We also attended a block party one night where we ate delicious beef and got to talk to people, including our Commissioner of Agriculture, Adam Putman!  It was an awesome learning experience and we accomplished a lot!  We would like to thank everyone for coming!
We are very excited to announce that we have new junior contests coming to the 2017 FCA Convention!  Our first new competition is Junior Quiz Bowl, it follows the same rules as normal quiz bowl but will be a single round elimination.  We created this contest as many of the quiz bowl teams have older, more experienced members and we wanted something for our younger members.  This contest is for members 14 years old and younger.
Our second contest that we are adding is a Stockmans’ Challenge.  It is designed to test your knowledge about beef using multiple choice questions and matching quizzes.  Be sure to keep checking our Facebook and website for more information that will be posted soon!
