Dec. Jr. Trail

December is a wonderful time of the year! Christmas trees, lights, cheerful music, and nativity scenes are what fills the air and surrounds us. This is also a time to give to others, and the JFCA are taking full advantage of that! For the past couple of years we have as juniors have donated various items to Operation Shoebox, an organization that sends care packages to soldiers overseas. We believe that even though it’s a small act, it does make a big difference in the those men and women’s lives. I would like all the members of the Cattlemen ‘ s organization to know that you can still be a part of this effort and bring in items at the next quarterly in December in Melbourne.  If you need any more information about items or the organization you can visit Operation Shoebox ‘ s website. Another way our members are giving back is one of our state officer’s mother. Our State Reporter Lane Harrell’s mom, Mrs. Susan Harrell was diagnosed with lymphoma back in July. Since then she has been battling very bravely with this disease, and the members of the Hillsborough Junior Cattlemen ‘ s Association have done everything they can to give her some support. The members have hosted two spirit nights at local Beef O’Brady ‘ s and have raised monet through raffles and T-shirt sales. After everything was done, they were able to raise around $5,000, which was donated directly to Mrs. Susan and her family. Mrs. Susan is such an important part of our HJCA and JFCA family, she means so much to so much of us and we continue to pray for her to be healed! There are many members within our organization that are struggling and there are those that are dealing with problems some big and others small. I encourage everyone to show support for others, during this holiday season. Helping bring joy, love, and happiness to there during this season is truly what it is all about! I look forward to speaking with you all again next month.

Merry Christmas and God Bless!

Anna Conrad
