June was an eventful month. The highlight was the Cattleman's Convention in Marco Island. Hopefully everybody had a great time, because I sure did. We had an outstanding turnout of participating members in various contests. Our Lake County JCA participated in the Quiz Bowl Contest and the Team Marketing Contest. This is the first time Lake County has been represented at the convention to compete in the contests. I would like to say thank you to our sponsors: Lake County Cattlemen, Lake County CattleWomen and Lake County Farm Bureau. Without their support we would not have been able to attend.

I hope a lot of people will attend the Second Annual Cattlemens Prospect Show in Kissimmee in August. This year I will not be able to attend the show since I'm going to be at the Florida State Fair to pick up my steer for the State Fair Steer Futurity Program.

Summer is slowly coming to an end and I have had a fun summer filled with conventions, camps and family vacation.
