Susannah Booth

boothSusannah Schmoe Booth, of Blackwater Plantation in Jefferson and Madison counties, FL has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Florida Cattlemen’s Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association. Susannah has previously worked for NCBA, Wyoming Stockgrowers, and the Colorado Cattlemen’s Association. She is active in fundraising for the Jacksonville Symphony, and Chairman of the Cowford ball for the American Cancer Society. Susannah also sits on the board of the McKnight Brain Institute at the University of Florida, and formerly served UF as the Chairman of the UF Library Board. She will assist the Foundation in its planned gift campaigns to fund education programs, scholarships, research, and a permanent unrestricted endowment.

Sarah Childs

childsSarah K. Childs, the Environmental /Safety Coordinator for Lykes Bros. Inc. has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Florida Cattlemen’s Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association. Sarah lives in Lake Placid, FL and was the recipient of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Sciences’  “Woman of the Year in Agriculture, 2012.” Mrs. Childs is also serving a three year term on the Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion and Research Board. She will assist the Foundation in its planned gift campaigns to fund education programs, scholarships, research, and a permanent unrestricted endowment.

Susan Clemons

Clemons, who along with her family owns and operates the Okeechobee Livestock Market in Okeechobee, FL, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Florida Cattlemen’s Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association. Susanne currently serves on the Okeechobee County Cattlemen’s Association Board of Directors, and is the Chairperson of the State Farm Service Agency Committee for USDA. She will assist the Foundation in its planned gift campaigns to fund education programs, scholarships, research, and a permanent unrestricted endowment.

Homer Hunnicutt

hunnicutHomer Hunnicutt, a Cattle Rancher and Poultry grower from Brooksville, FL has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Florida Cattlemen’s Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association. Homer has been involved in livestock production for many years, and is currently a Director of Farm Credit of Central Florida. He will assist the Foundation in its planned gift campaigns to fund education programs, scholarships, research, and a permanent unrestricted endowment.

Erik Jacobsen

Erik Jacobsen, General Manager Deseret Ranches in St. Cloud, FL has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Florida Cattlemen’s Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association.  Erik is past president of the Brevard County Cattlemen’s Association and currently serves as Treasurer for the Florida Cattlemen’s Association. He will assist the Foundation in its major/planned gifts campaign to fund education programs, scholarships, research and a permanent unrestricted endowment.  Florida’s cattle industry is one of the 15 largest in the United States.

Grace Larson

larsonGrace Larson, Okeechobee, has served on the Board of Directors of the Florida Cattlemen’s Foundation since 200?  Her deep commitment to education and youth development is evident in her years as teacher, school volunteer, and 4-H volunteer leader. Her Board of Director experience includes the Okeechobee Children Services Council and Hospice of Okeechobee plus various advisory councils. Grace and her husband Woody are graduates of the University Of Florida College Of Agriculture as are their three children and two daughters-in-law.  Woody and Grace operate a cow/calf operation in Okeechobee and dairies in Okeechobee, Lafayette and Suwannee counties.  “I see the future in the eyes of our five grandchildren.  Every day I hope I am contributing something; time, talent, thought, inspiration; to their legacy.”

Kay Richardson

richardsonKay Richardson, President of and General Manager of Richardson Brothers, Inc. in Evinston, FL  FL has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Florida Cattlemen’s Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association. Kay is a Past President of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association and has been recognized by many organizations as an innovator and outstanding producer in the beef cattle industry.  He will assist the Foundation in its planned gift campaigns to fund education programs, scholarships, research, and a permanent unrestricted endowment.

Jim Strickland

strickland.pngJim Strickland, Owner of Strickland Ranch in Manatee County, FL has been appointed Chairman of the Florida Cattlemen’s Foundation. Jim is a lifelong rancher, who along with his wife Renee operates Strickland Ranch and Strickland Global, companies that export U.S. goods to ranchers and farmers globally. Jim is a Past President of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association, an agricultural land appraiser and sits on the Board of Directors to various agricultural organizations. As Chairman he oversees all Foundation business.

Frank Yong

yongFrank J Yong, J.D. L.L.M. has joined the board of Directors of the Florida Cattleman’s Foundation the philanthropic arm of The Florida Cattleman’s Association. He practiced estate and tax planning law for 23 years in Jacksonville, Florida and now is employed as a Financial Advisor with the McLaughlin, Galloway, and Yong group at Morgan Stanley in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. He is an owner of a ranch in Columbia County, Florida where he and his partner run a stocker operation. Frank plans to use his legal and business experience to assist the Foundation achieve it’s goals of education, preservation, research, and scholarship to benefit such an important economic and culturally significant activity as cattle ranching.
